Hi, my name's Ms. Young, but most of my life I was known as Ms. Lee. :) I was born in South Korea and immigrated to U.S. when I was 12 years old. That was a hard transition for me, but I learned valuable lessons which I hope to impart to my dear students. Since then I graduated from UC Berkeley with B.A. in Anthropology then got my M.A. at Monterey Institute of International Studies in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Since then I had opportunity to teach at Madison Middle School for 4 years. I taught ELD, 6th Grade Math, Science, 7th Grade Explore as well as Social Studies, and AVID. It was my third year at Casita last year teaching 5th grade students and I am looking forward to teaching 5th graders again with a great team of 5th grade teachers.
One thing I truly enjoy is reading as well as learning new languages. I challenge my students come and guess what different languages I have learned throughout my life. I will give one clue... I have learned approximately 6 languages.
